Florida sheriff’s office seeks murder suspect with connections to the Habersham County/North Georgia area

Habersham County Sheriff’s Office is sharing the following information at the request of the Walton County Sheriff’s Office in Florida, as murder suspect Isabelle Rose Johnson has been known to frequent the Habersham County and North Georgia area.

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Isabelle Rose Johnson, 38, who is wanted for murder in connection with an ongoing investigation following the discovery of human remains buried in a shallow grave on a property off Sunset Lane in Freeport, Florida.

Johnson is described as a 38-year-old white female, approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing approximately 120 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes; however, investigators believe she may have recently cut her hair short and changed her hair color in an attempt to disguise her identity.

Johnson is known to use multiple identities and aliases, including Harley, Jessica Elaine Bowman, Jessica Elaine Thrush, Jessica Elaine Thrash, Jessica Dowdy, and possibly “Denise.”

She has ties to Okaloosa and Walton counties in Florida as well as several areas in Georgia and lower Alabama. She is believed to travel between multiple locations and has been known to manipulate individuals into providing her transportation, money, or other assistance using sympathy narratives, such as domestic violence and other hardships.

Johnson is believed to have a floral tattoo on her left hand near her thumb and forefinger. She is also believed to have a tattoo on her right ankle.

Those wishing to remain anonymous may contact Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at (850) 863-TIPS (8477). Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $6,000 reward for information. The Florida Sheriff’s Association Criminal Apprehension Assistance Program (FSA CAAP) has contributed an additional $5,000, increasing the total reward to up to $11,000.

Johnson should be considered dangerous. If you see her, do not approach her. Call 911 immediately.
