First Presbyterian Church Invites Community to Free Back-to-School Festival Saturday

As students prepare to head back to the classroom, First Presbyterian Church of Clarkesville is inviting families to celebrate with a fun-filled Back-to-School Festival this Saturday, July 25.

The free community event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will feature something for the entire family, including free backpacks, food, a live DJ, face painting, a bouncy house, games, and more. School supplies, headphones,

and water bottles will also be available.

There is no cost to attend, and everyone is welcome.

The festival is another example of First Presbyterian Church's ongoing commitment to serving the Habersham County community. Throughout the year, the church reaches far beyond its walls by providing ministries that meet both practical and spiritual needs.

Each Thanksgiving and Christmas, the congregation hosts free community meals, ensuring that anyone without family nearby—or anyone simply in need of a warm holiday meal—has a place at the table. During the coldest nights of winter, the church also opens its doors as a warming station, offering shelter, a hot evening meal, and breakfast to those seeking refuge from freezing temperatures.
