Cruise In With a Purpose Brings Cars, Community and a Cause to Pitts Park

Classic cars, community fellowship and a good cause will come together at Pitts Park as Purpose Church continues its monthly “Cruise In With a Purpose.” The community car show is held on the second Friday of each month from April through October at Pitts Park, located at 221 Sam Pitts Creek in Clarkesville.

The event gives car enthusiasts a chance to show off their vehicles while giving families and spectators an opportunity to spend an afternoon enjoying some impressive rides and supporting a local cause.

Gates open at 3 p.m., with judging beginning at 4 p.m. Judging concludes at 6:30 p.m., followed by awards at 7:30 p.m. Awards include People’s Choice, Top Five and Best of Show.

But the event is about more than the cars.

Proceeds from Cruise In With a Purpose benefit #ClaimHabersham for Christ, an initiative focused on reaching and serving the Habersham County community.

The monthly event is presented by Purpose Church and provides another opportunity for people throughout the area to come together for an afternoon of cars, conversation and community while supporting a faith-based mission.

In the event of rain, the car show will be rescheduled for the following Friday.
