Adults looking for a little creative downtime can trade the rush of everyday life for crafting and relaxation this September at Unicoi State Park.
The park will host an Adult Only Crafting Hour every Thursday throughout September, offering participants a chance to step away from their normal routine and spend an hour creating, relaxing and enjoying some grown-up time.
The crafting sessions will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at the Visitor Center.
Organizers describe the weekly event as an opportunity to “let your creativity flow” while enjoying a more peaceful atmosphere away from the demands and distractions of the day.
Whether you're already an avid crafter or simply looking for something different to do during your lunch hour, the program offers a chance to slow down, meet others and spend some time being creative in the surroundings of Unicoi State Park, 1788 Hwy 356, Helen.
The event is part of the recreational programming offered at the park and resort throughout the year.
