A Toccoa woman who faces charges for the death of her child has been arrested after police say she failed to appear in court.
Toccoa police arrested Victoria Galliher on Friday, Feb. 13, after she allegedly failed to show up for court in connection with the 2022 death of her infant child – a case authorities say has drawn “significant attention within the community.”
Galliher’s failure to report to court led to “immediate activation of outstanding warrants for murder in the second degree” related to the infant’s death, according to authorities, before she was located.
Officers took Galliher into custody without incident. She was transported to the Stephens County Jail, where she remains held pending further judicial proceedings.
Officials said the arrest follows previously established court actions in the pending case.
