School Bus Crash in White County Sends Four Students to Hospital

Emergency crews responded early Tuesday morning to a school bus accident in White County that resulted in minor injuries to several students.
According to White County Public Safety officials, the incident occurred at approximately 6:26 a.m. on April 28, 2026, at the intersection of Highway 115 West and Highway 284. White County 911 began receiving reports of a motor vehicle accident involving a school bus.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the White County Sheriff’s Office, White County Fire Services, White County EMS, Cleveland Fire Department, and the Georgia State Patrol.
Upon arrival, first responders found the school bus off the roadway with occupants still inside. Emergency personnel entered the bus, assessed students for injuries, and initiated an evacuation through the rear hatch.
Officials confirmed that 10 students were on board at the time of the crash. Four students sustained minor injuries and were transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville for evaluation. They were accompanied by school system administration.
No other serious injuries were reported.
The Georgia State Patrol is currently investigating the cause of the accident.
