NGTC Horticulture Plant Sale Returns Sept. 28–Oct. 1

Fall planting season is approaching, and North Georgia Technical College is giving area gardeners an opportunity to add something new to their landscapes while supporting students at the same time.

The NGTC Horticulture Plant Sale will be held September 28 through October 1 at the college’s Clarkesville campus.

The four-day sale will be open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day and will feature a variety of plants suitable for home gardens and landscapes.

Shoppers can expect to find hydrangeas, fall-blooming perennials and shrubs, evergreens, native plants, specimen plants, trees and more.

Organizers say the sale is focused on offering variety rather than simply large quantities of a limited number of plants, giving shoppers an opportunity to find something different for their yards and gardens.

Prices range from $8 to $12 for one-gallon perennials and shrubs, while three-gallon shrubs and trees will be priced from $25 to $35.

Purchases during the event are tax-free.

College students, Master Gardeners and garden club members will also receive an additional 10% discount.

Beyond providing an opportunity to prepare gardens and landscapes for fall, the annual sale supports NGTC horticulture students and the college’s horticulture program.
