Residents and visitors alike are invited to celebrate a unique blend of culture and fun as the city of Helen hosts its annual Fasching, a German-style Mardi Gras celebration, on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Helen Festhalle, located at 1074 Edelweiss Strasse in Helen.
Fasching, Germany’s traditional carnival season, is known for lively music, festive costumes, dancing, and community celebration. The Helen event promises all of that and more, offering a night designed for families, couples, and friends to gather and enjoy an evening of entertainment.
Guests are encouraged to dress in their favorite or most creative costumes — “anything goes.” While costumes are not required, organizers say they add to the festive spirit. Prizes will be awarded for Best Female Costume, Best Male Costume, and Best Couples Costume.
Live music and dancing will take place throughout the evening, creating a lively atmosphere inside the Festhalle. Attendees can also enjoy a variety of classic event foods including hamburgers, hot dogs, barbecue, and traditional pretzels. A cash bar serving beer and wine will be available, along with non-alcoholic beverages for purchase.
Admission to the event is:
Adults: $15 per person
Children ages 6–12: $7
Children under 6: Free
The entrance fee covers admission, music, and dancing, while food and drinks will be available for purchase during the event.
Organizers encourage guests to bring a date or Valentine and enjoy an evening of music, laughter, and celebration. Whether attending in costume or simply coming as you are, Fasching offers a festive way to spend Valentine’s Day in Helen’s Bavarian-style setting.
