University of Toccoa Falls Prepares to Welcome Students for New Academic Year

The University of Toccoa Falls is preparing to welcome students back to campus as Welcome Week 2026 kicks off a new academic year filled with opportunities to learn, connect, and grow.

The annual tradition is designed to help both first-year and returning students settle into campus life while building relationships with classmates, faculty, and staff before classes begin.

Activities get underway with Move-In Day, when students living on campus arrive to unpack, complete enrollment requirements, pick up orientation materials, and get acquainted with their new surroundings. Faculty and staff volunteers will be on hand throughout the day to assist students and their families as they move into residence halls.

The first day concludes with Community Chapel at 4 p.m., bringing students, parents, faculty, and staff together for a time of worship as the university begins the school year with a shared focus on faith.

During the week, students will participate in orientation sessions, meet with university leaders, connect with professors, and attend Major Mixers designed to introduce them to their academic programs and the many resources available on campus.

Welcome Week also features a variety of activities intended to help students form friendships and become part of the campus community. Events include the Back-to-School Bash, a hike to Little Falls, trivia competitions, and dodgeball tournaments.

University officials also invite alumni, friends, and supporters to keep the campus community in their prayers as students, faculty, and staff begin another year of learning, service, and spiritual growth.
