Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce Announces Resignation of President

The Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has announced that Julie Paysen has submitted her resignation as President, effective June 30, 2026.
Julie Paysen has served as President of the Chamber for the past 11 years, providing steady leadership and making lasting contributions to the organization and the broader community. Throughout her tenure, she has exemplified integrity, consistency, resilience, and a deep commitment to strengthening local businesses and fostering meaningful partnerships.
In her resignation statement, Paysen shared:
“After much prayer and thoughtful reflection, I have decided that the time has come for me to step away from this remarkable organization. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have worked alongside such a dedicated and supportive Board of Directors, exceptional business partners, and committed community leaders. This role has been one of the most meaningful and rewarding chapters of my professional journey.”
She continued:
“I am profoundly thankful for the trust, encouragement, and support extended to me throughout my time with the Chamber. I am incredibly proud of all we have accomplished together and confident that the future of our Chamber is bright—marked by continued growth, opportunity, and lasting impact within our community. I am excited to begin a new season, serving full-time in ministry alongside my husband, Steve Paysen.”
The Chamber’s Board of Directors has initiated a process to identify Paysen’s successor. In the interim, the Board will continue to support Paysen and the Chamber team to ensure continuity of leadership and operations.
