Tallulah Falls School Names Hannah Satterfield Head Varsity Golf Coach

Tallulah Falls School has named Hannah Wall Satterfield as the new head coach of its varsity golf program. Satterfield is no stranger to TFS and comes with an impressive resume of success at both the high school and collegiate levels.

Satterfield will oversee both the boys and girls varsity golf teams, returning to a program where she previously served as varsity golf coach in 2022 and most recently led the middle school golf teams during the 2025-26 school year.

Her return comes after three successful seasons as head women's golf coach at Piedmont University, where she orchestrated a remarkable turnaround for the Lions program.

During her tenure from 2022 through 2025, Piedmont improved its team scoring average from 348 to 317 while setting multiple school records. In her final season, the Lions posted some of the best scores in program history and earned a runner-up finish, the highest team finish ever recorded by the program. The team also captured a victory at the Greenbriar Invitational with rounds of 304 and 312.

Satterfield also coached one of the most accomplished golfers in Piedmont history. Under her guidance, Erin Donovan earned USA South Rookie of the Year honors before being named USA South Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons. Donovan also became the university's first-ever qualifier for the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship, where she advanced through the cut and finished tied for 11th nationally.

Before joining Piedmont, Satterfield spent three years at Tallulah Falls School, leading the middle school golf program from 2019 through 2021 before serving as head coach of the high school golf program during the 2021-22 academic year. Her familiarity with the school, its students, and its athletic culture makes her return especially meaningful.

A graduate of White County High School, Satterfield was a three-sport athlete, competing in golf, softball, and basketball before continuing her golf career at Truett McConnell University. As a collegiate golfer, she helped lead the Lady Bears to several record-breaking seasons and once held the program's low-round scoring record with a 74. She was also recognized for her leadership and sportsmanship by being named to the NAIA Champions of Character Team in 2019.

Satterfield earned a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Truett McConnell University in 2019 and later completed a Master of Arts in Teaching at Georgia College & State University in 2022.

Tallulah Falls Athletic Director Greg Neeley said Satterfield's previous experience with the school and proven success at the collegiate level make her an ideal choice to lead the program into its next chapter.

Satterfield inherits a varsity program that has experienced considerable success in recent years. The Lady Indians are coming off a sixth-place finish at the state tournament and have captured three consecutive region championships. The boys program has also maintained a strong presence at the state level, with golfers qualifying for the state tournament in each of the past four seasons, including four Tallulah Falls golfers who competed this spring.

With a championship pedigree, a passion for developing young athletes, and a deep connection to the Tallulah Falls community, Satterfield returns with the experience and leadership to build upon the program's recent accomplishments as the Indians prepare for another competitive season this fall.
