James and the Giant Peach opens June 3 at HCT

Magic, adventure, and a beloved childhood classic are coming to the stage this summer as Habersham Community Theater presents James and the Giant Peach.
Based on Roald Dahl’s timeless story, the musical follows young James on an extraordinary journey inside a gigantic peach alongside a colorful cast of insect friends. Filled with imagination, humor, music, and heartwarming moments, the production promises fun for audiences of all ages.
The family-friendly musical will take the stage at Habersham Community Theater in Clarkesville for a two-week run beginning Wednesday, June 3.

Thursday, June 4 – 7:30 p.m.
Friday, June 5 – 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, June 6 – 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, June 7 – 2:00 p.m.
The second week of performances includes:
Wednesday, June 10 – 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, June 11 – 7:30 p.m.
Friday, June 12 – 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, June 13 – 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, June 14 – 2:00 p.m.
The musical adaptation features songs by award-winning composers Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, known for their work on Dear Evan Hansen and The Greatest Showman. The production combines lively music, creative costumes, and imaginative storytelling as James escapes his unhappy life and discovers friendship and courage along the way.
For more than four decades, Habersham Community Theater has brought live theater to Northeast Georgia, showcasing local talent and creating memorable experiences for families throughout the region.
