Habersham Board of Tax Assessors Changes Meeting Schedule

The Habersham County Board of Tax Assessors has changed its meeting schedule, reducing the number of meetings held during several months of the year.

Under the new policy, the board will hold one meeting per month during January, February, March, August, September, October, November and December. The board will continue holding two meetings per month during April, May, June and July.

As part of the schedule change, the following meetings have been canceled:

• September 22, 2026

• October 27, 2026

• November 24, 2026

  
  

The change became effective August 25.

According to the notice, meetings will continue to be scheduled for the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month when two meetings are held. If a holiday or other scheduling conflict occurs, the affected meeting will be moved to the following Thursday.

The Board of Tax Assessors announced the change in an August 25 notice from its office in Clarkesville.
