Update On Morning Wreck That Killed 1

(UPDATE) Habersham Co. -  Habersham County Emergency Services Director Chad Black said in an email statement that Habersham County 911 received a call at 08:37 a.m. reporting a two-vehicle accident at Ga. 15 and Old 441 near the Rabun County line.

"Engine 17, Ladder 9, Medic 9, Battalion 1 and Captain 1 dispatched and responded."

The statement continues, stating that "During response information relayed of 4 patients where Air Life was placed on stand by alert by our 911 Center. Upon arrival found a two-car MVC with heavy damage to both vehicles, and all occupants still in vehicles. 3 in one minivan and 1 in another vehicle. Air Life requested with the request for additional aircraft and Rabun County EMS and Tallulah Falls Fire Department to assist, due to seriousness of injuries and 4 total patients requiring extrication from the vehicles."

"All patients extricated from the vehicles, two were flown by Air Life 2 and 14 to NGMC, 1 by Rabun County EMS and 1
patient deceased on the scene."
