Two Individuals Flee on Foot From Habersham Police (PRESS RELEASE)

Habersham, Co., - (PRESS RELEASE) - On 08/01/19 at 10:55 am Habersham County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the area of Hwy 365 South and Hwy 441, Cornelia, Georgia to assist a motorist that had broken down on the side of the road. 


While the Deputy was speaking with the occupants of the vehicle, two of the occupants fled on foot. 


The description that was given by the Deputy of the two subjects along with information received from another occupant it was believed that one or both of the occupants that ran were possibly wanted. 


The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office, Cornelia Police Department, Demorest Police Department, Alto Police Department, Georgia State Patrol, and The Governor’s Task Force conducted a search of the area and were able to locate and take the two subjects into custody without incident. 


At this time it does not appear that these two individuals are wanted and it is also unknown why the fled on foot from the vehicle.
