Three arrested on drug trafficking charges

The Habersham County Sheriff's Office arrested three individuals on trafficking charges after a traffic stop on May 13 led to the discovery of a large cache of drugs. The Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office assisted with the narcotics investigation which resulted in the seizure of more than a half-ounce of heroin, 8 grams of methamphetamine and 2 oxycodone pills.

Eric Lee Martin, 27, of Mt. Airy, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, trafficking heroin and for failure to stop at a stop sign.  Along with Martin, authorities also arrested Tyler Lee Gibson, 23, of Dahlonega and Brianne Marie Ross-Rummel, 21, of Gillsville.

Both individuals were charged with possession of methamphetamine and trafficking heroin.

All of the arrestees were booked into the Habersham County Jail where they are currently being held without bail.  The investigation is still active and ongoing.
