Teen Killed In Crash Identified, Two Others Critically Injured (UPDATE)

Toccoa - A crash occurring near the Stephens and Franklin County line took the life of one person, critically injuring two others.


The accident happened Friday morning, around 9 a.m. along Highway 106.


The Stephens County coroner confirms one person has died, who has been identified as Anna Mackenzie Whitlock, 18, of Carnesville, Ga.


Whitlock was a freshman, studying Mass Communications, at Piedmont College in Demorest. Piedmont's campus ministry office reached out to offer grieving services to fellow students on Facebook, stating "It is with a heavy heart that we open our office today and tomorrow for any students and faculty who need a place to sit, talk, or just be following the passing of freshman Anna Whitlock. You all are welcome here." 


Two vehicles were involved in the head-on fatal crash. Further details of the crash are still unknown.
