HOMER, GA- Starting today a section of State Route 15/US 441 will be reduced to one lane for resurfacing.
This 9.83 mile-long project begins at English Rd. in Banks County and continues to the Habersham County line.
Weekday lane closures will be allowed from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and will affect one side of the divided highway at a time. Arrow boards, barrels and cones will alert drivers to shift over when entering the work zone as traffic will be reduced to one lane.
Weekend lane closures associated with this project do not have time restrictions. Drivers are advised to plan ahead if traveling this route.
C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc. was awarded the project in July 2018 and has a completion date of June 30, 2019. This project represents a $6.3 million resurfacing investment in Banks County.
