North Carolina - A small gun shop in North Carolina is receiving national attention from a controversial billboard.
Cherokee Guns, in Murphy, took to social media on July 26th to showcase their new billboard that presents the four congresswomen, Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, who are also known as the “Squad.”
The original post reads, “Here are 4 POS'...that want to take this country down...in fact...2 have terrorist ties....the Foxes are in the hen house....share please.”
Doc Wacholz, the owner of the store, told media outlets that he decided to choose the “Squad,” because "their message of turning this country into a socialist country." He went on to state that, "I don't care if it was four white women or four white guys that had their view -- they'd be on the billboard."
The gun shop again shared a picture of the billboard on social on Sunday, July 28th, and it went viral.
On July 29th, the shop posted that they are even selling bumper stickers that look like the billboard. The post states, “Alright my fellow Infidels for Trump...due to OVERWHELMING demand...you may come by the shop (next week) and get your very own FOUR HORSEMEN COMETH STICKER.”
It continues, stating,”...simple...eat a piece of bacon...tell us you're voting for Trump in 2020...then get your limited edition bumper sticker!! (While supplies last!) Snowflakes and Liberals are not eligible...sorry…”
The billboard is reportedly being taken down soon.
