Hazardous Weather Outlook for March 1

NWS - Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will develop this afternoon. The main threat will be cloud to ground lightning with some storms capable of producing strong gusty winds. 

Saturday through Thursday:

Periods of moderate to heavy rain will fall across the southwestern mountains of North Carolina, the western Upstate, and northeast Georgia beginning Sunday morning and continuing through the late afternoon. Ponding of water in urban areas is possible and some area streams may reach or exceed bankfull levels.
