Hall Named Chairman Of County Commission

CLARKESVILLE - The first item on the agenda for last night's Habersham County Board of Commissioners meeting was to elect the Chairman and Vice Chair for the commission.  Natalie Crawford motioned right away to nominate District 1's Stay Hall.  With no objections, Hall was voted as Chair by the commission, and in turn, Hall voted to nominate Crawford for re-election as Vice Chair with the same result.  "I’m deeply honored to have been elected tonight as Chairman of the Habersham County Commission. It’s an honor to serve our community and I look forward to the work that lay ahead," Hall said in his first public statement after the meeting.  As being Chairman, Hall also decided to step down from his position as as Chairman on the Hospital Authority, siting conflict of interest.

Re-elected Vice Chair, Natalie Crawford says, "I’m honored to be re-elected to serve as Vice-Chair of the Commission. We accomplished much in 2018 and there is much to do this year. I look forward to serving with Commissioner Stacy Hall, elected Chairman tonight, and the rest of my fellow Commissioners to accomplish great things for Habersham in 2019."
