Habersham County Sees Spikes in COVID-19 Related Deaths

Habersham Co. -  Habersham County is seeing a spike in deaths according to the noon report from the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH).

As of noon Tuesday, April 28, Habersham County was creeping on the 200 mark for confirmed COVID-19 cases and had six Coronavirus related deaths.

The first death reported was a 79-year-old female with an underlying health condition. A few days later on April 15, a 40-year-old female with an underlying health condition was shown on the report to have died due to COVID-19. The third death came on April 22, when a 74-year-old male with an underlying health condition was shown on the DPH report.

The DPH recently updated their website and no longer gives the information regarding the deaths for each county.
