And then there were none - at least for now. Habersham Medical Center has gone through its allotment of 500 doses of the Moderna Covid vaccine. 50 or so senior citizens in the general public were lucky enough to get theirs yesterday as part of Phase 1A+. Hospital Vice president Keisha Clinkscales tells WCHM news that the wait list as of today is greater than 800 and that Habersham medical center is no longer adding to the wait list. She adds that Additional vaccines have been ordered but there’s no estimated delivery date. Once more arrives, she says, the hospital will add to the wait list. The hospital would appear to have come through day one much better than the public health department. Public health officer Dave Palmer tells WCHM news they were so overwhelmed by the demand that the telephone systems and website couldn’t handle the load. No vaccines have been administered at the Demorest health clinic yet.
