Early Voting Ends Tomorrow

Habersham Co. - If you are planning to vote in the upcoming runoff election, here is what you need to know.

The runoff election is set to be held on Dec. 3. 

Early voting is set to end tomorrow, Nov. 27. You can still vote until 5 p.m. at the Elections and Registration Office at the County Administration Building, 130 Jacob’s Way, Suite 101, in Clarkesville. 

The runoff election will decide who will fill the vacant district five county commissioner seat that was formerly held by Ed Nicols.

The candidates on the ballot are Darrin Johnston and Tim Stamey, both republican.

During the Nov. 5 election, Johnston received around 28.78% of the votes (1,054 voters voted for him), Stamey received around 23.92% of the votes (876 voters voted for him).

Absentee ballots are available at the Elections and Registration Office.
