Habersham Co. - District 5 County Commissioner candidate Randy Miller has announced he will be dropping from the race.
“Due to some arising medical issues, I have made the decision to pull myself out of the district 5 Commissioners race,” Miller says.
“This has laid heavy on my heart during the past several days and over the weekend,” Miller continues. “I feel that I need to take care of these issues so if I were elected in the future, I can give you, the great citizens of Habersham County a hundred percent of myself and dedication.”
Miller goes on to state that he wanted to make the announcement to curb any rumors that may arise about his decision.
Miller goes on to say “I appreciate the overwhelming support you have shown me and with that said, I look forward to the future of our great County, and to future elections! As always, I’m here for the citizens of Habersham County. May God Bless Habersham County and May God Bless America!”
Miller was set to go against Republicans Tim Stamey (incumbent), George Locke Arnold, and Democrat Michael (Mike) Adams.
