Cornelia - Starting today, Wal-Mart is offering two new COVID-19 test sites for people in the community who meet the CDC, state and local guidelines on who should seek testing.
The two sites will be open every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., weather permitting. Testing will take place in the parking lots of the Wal-Mart located at 2875 Mundy Mill Road in Oakwood as well as the store at 250 Furniture Drive in Cornelia.
Their goal is to provide access to testing for as many people that may need or want it for peace of mind.
Those wishing to be tested must make an appointment and can pre-register here in order to determine eligibility and to select a time for testing.
Individuals will receive a designated appointment and a pharmacist will observe patients at the testing site by performing a COVID-19 self-swab nasal test inside their vehicle. The testing will come at no cost to the individuals.
