City of Clarkesville Alcohol Permits Renewed

The Clarkesville City Council met last night, and new business consisted of unanimous votes in favor for the approval of the 2018 Property tax due date resolution; the renewal of alcohol licenses for Copper Pot, Hawg Wild, Harvest Habersham, and Westside Express for 2019; and approval of a resolution adopting the 2018 comprehensive plan.

Also discussed was the hiring process of the new Main Street / Downtown Development Authority Director, which should be completed by early 2019. Clarkesville City Manager Barbara Kesler did say that the field has been narrowed down from seven candidates to four, and that the hiring committee will likely move forward with in person interviews as early as next week.
