City of Cornelia Announces Operational Changes Due to Coronavirus

Cornelia – The City of Cornelia made the decision to close City Hall to the public amid COVID-19 concerns. Below is the release.

Due to the Coronavirus and threat that it poses to our employees and the public City Hall is now closed to the public. Persons with questions or concerns can contact City Hall staff at 706-778-8585. Customers may pay their utility bills several ways, online, mail, or using the payment box in front of City Hall. We appreciate your cooperation with this change during these unprecedented times.

Also, in an effort to keep our restaurants in operation the state has authorized cities to allow bars and restaurants who posses an alcohol consumption license to temporarily begin doing package sales for beer and wine. The Mayor and Commissioners have decided to follow suit with other cities and allow this service as well.
