Hall Co. - 29-year-old Dustin Gerald Dodd, of Baldwin, was arrested Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 9, at approximately 4 p.m. by Hall County Sheriff’s Office on multiple child exploitation charges.
According to Hall County Sheriff's Office spokesman Derreck Booth, Dodd is being charged with four counts of sexual exploitation of children, all related to the same 14-year-old victim.
Booth tells WCHM that “a family member of the victim reported the social media communication from Dodd to the girl on Thursday, September 12.” The victim is from Hall County.
Following the initial investigation, detectives determined that between August 14 and August 18, Dodd communicated with the victim via a social media platform.
“He asked the victim for nude photographs of her body and described sexual activity he wished to engage in,” Booth says. “Dodd also sent a photograph of his genitals and unsuccessfully attempted to entice the victim to meet him in person.”
The Sheriff’s Office Investigators obtained warrants for Dodd’s arrest on Wednesday.
Dodd remains in jail without bond as of Thursday, October 10.
The case remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, and additional charges are expected.
