Three people were injured during a wreck on Toccoa Hwy in Clarkesville Sunday night.
The accident is reported to have occurred at 7:45 p.m. on Toccoa Hwy at the intersection with Ellison St.
Vehicle one was identified as a blue 2019 Dodge Challenger, driven by Kieth Vrabec, 55, of Tiger.
Vehicle two was driven by John McDaniel, 73, of Tiger and identified as a white 2016 Chevrolet Silverado K150.
“McDaniel was traveling north on Toccoa Hwy and slowed behind a vehicle attempting to turn west onto Ellison St.,” according to the accident report. “Vrabec was traveling north on Toccoa Hwy and crested a hill and struck the rear of vehicle 2 with its front end.”
Vrabec traveled west after impact coming to an uncontrolled rest in a ditch on the west shoulder of Toccoa Hwy.
McDaniel traveled north coming to a controlled rest at the intersection of Toccoa Hwy and Arrendale St.
Vrabec was not injured during the accident but did state he was “distracted by something on the interior and did not notice vehicle 2 had slowed,” the report says.
McDaniel, along with Marilyn McDaniel, 61, was also in the car and taken to Stephens County Hospital for their injuries.
Frida Handy, 91, of Tiger was also taken to Stephens County Hospital.
